Where we Climb

The secret is out that the Natural State is a premier climbing destination of

the South. Take a look at some of

Central Arkansas' home crags.

Crag Locations

A climber in a red shirt and white helmet hangs by his fingertips high above the valley on a warm summer day.

Located just 25 minutes from downtown Little Rock, the Rattlesnake Ridge Natural Area is the go-to crag for the capital city.

There are two main areas that reside here at RR:

  •  West Pinn aka Cliffbrake. Positioned at the top of the ridge, this wall has stunning views of Pinnacle Mountain that are well worth the 15-20 min approach.

  • Nowlin Creek. A more recently devoloped area that has beginner friendly routes in a creekside venue with an easy 5 minute approach from the parking lot.

Located in Dardanelle, AR halfway between Fort Smith and Little Rock on the Arkansas River, Dardanelle Rock is known as Arkansas' Urban Crag. Recent development has turned this strongman crag into a well-rounded climbing destination with over  100 individual pitches ranging from 5.2-5.13. Expect a short but steep 5 min approach.
